Establishment of PLASTA company and launch of manufacturing plant in in Vilnius, Lithuania in 1961.

Equipment for HDPE pipe and LDPE film production installed.

1961-1965

Major automation of the production in PLASTA.

Introduction of wide range of consumer goods.

1980 – 1990

PLASTA ISO 9001 Quality Certification.

Modernization and expansion of the lines for recycling and bags production.

Significant increase in product volume.

1999 – 2005
1966-1979

RULLPACK AB founded in 1976 in Sweden.

Start of production of PE packaging using mould-blowing in PLASTA.

Development of PE recycling technologies and expansion of PE film product range.

1991-1996

Launching one of the region’s first LDPE film recycling plants together with PE processing and bag production lines. Expanding into Western European markets.

 

2006-2015

Modernization of recycling lines & automation of detailed quality control system in PLASTA.

Implementation of modern business intelligence management software in 2015.

Establishment of PLASTA GmbH in Germany in 2017.

Finalizing R&D of thinnest 7+ micron bag, made entirely from 100% recycled LDPE material.

2017-2018

PLASTA Group is a major PE recycler and manufacturer in Europe, producing up to 1 billion waste bags per year.

2023: opening of automatic optical sorting line for household waste.

We keep expanding our recycling capacity to further help with plastic waste processing in Europe.

TODAY
2019-2021

Acquisition of Swedish plastic bag producer RULLPACK AB  in 2019.

Accession Capital Partners (ACP) becomes an investor in PLASTA Group in 2021.
