Plasta Group Releases Its New Sustainability Report
The 2024 Plasta Group Sustainability Report is now available to everyone interested in learning about the group’s progress in the areas of sustainability, environmental protection, social responsibility, and governance.
Over the past year, the Plasta Group has undergone significant changes – the group became part of Cedo, received international quality recognitions, and continued investing in sustainable and energy-efficient infrastructure.
In 2024, Plasta was awarded a Silver EcoVadis Medal. EcoVadis experts assessed Plasta’s actions in environmental protection, labor and human rights, ethical business conduct, and sustainable procurement. Based on these indicators, they determined that Plasta ranks among the top 15% of the most sustainable companies within the EcoVadis community. This recognition has encouraged the company to further improve its processes and surpass even more companies within the EcoVadis network.
A key achievement in the field of sustainability was group-wide greenhouse gas emissions calculations covering the entire production chain. This helped to more accurately assess the group’s environmental impact and identify ways to reduce emissions from production processes in the future.
As outlined in the Plasta Group’s sustainability strategies, one of the group’s main goals is to direct investments toward innovative solutions that contribute to sustainability objectives. Therefore, in 2024 the group continued to invest in sustainable, efficiency-enhancing production solutions and infrastructure improvements. The group’s companies also focused strongly on the expansion of circular processes, aiming to minimize the amount of non-recyclable waste leaving Plasta Group factories.
The group also achieved important business milestones. For its business clients, it introduced the EcoPlasta brand, whose products carry the Blue Angel and RAL certifications. EcoPlasta products include some of the most sustainable garbage bags available on the B2B market, made from 40–60% recycled household plastic.
The Plasta Group continues to pursue ambitious goals in sustainability, circularity, and responsible governance.
