PLASTA Receives RAL Quality Mark for Its Production

Vilnius-based PLASTA manufacturing plant has recently hit an important milestone — its production received an RAL certificate issued by the German Institute for Quality Assurance and Certification (RAL, Bonn).

The certificate, which is widely accepted across Europe to prove the nature and quality of materials used in plastic product manufacturing, was created in 1925 when the ReichsAusschuss für Lieferbedingungen body. The quality mark obtained by the PLASTA manufacturing plant in September 2023 confirms how much household plastic waste is incorporated into PLASTA‘s products.

Shortly, the certification sign, together with the percentage of household waste used, will be found on the packaging label of the certified production. Customers will be guaranteed that our bin liners contain 40% of household plastic waste and the garbage bags — 60%.

The RAL certification follows a recent implementation of an automatic intelligent waste sorting plant at the PLASTA’s facilities and marks a step towards increased recycling capabilities throughout the Group.
