Plasta

About Plasta

Plasta is one of Europe’s largest plastic recycling and garbage bag production plants. The company’s journey started in 1961 as a film, pipes, and PE packaging manufacturer. Since then, Plasta has transformed into a modern, innovative, and sustainability-focused manufacturer of waste bags, granulate, and film made from recycled plastic.

Plasta HQ is based in Vilnius, Lithuania, and features a manufacturing plant with integrated recycling and production lines with in-house developed technology and automated processes. The factory recycles over 35,000 tons of polyethylene waste a year and uses it to produce 30,000 tons of production, which equals up to 1 bln waste bags.

Plasta recycles scrap polyethylene from agricultural and post-consumer waste. Cutting-edge technology allows the Plasta factory to work with plastic, usually considered difficult to recycle.

Production of the Plasta factory is BRC and TUV ISO 9001 certified. Over 500 people work in the facilities, covering every step, from R&D initiatives and manufacturing processes to quality control of the finished products.
